Berry is cattle-and-timber country in northern Fayette County, up past Samantha and the Tuscaloosa County line β rolling pasture, mixed pine ridges, and homeplaces where the big oaks were standing when the family deed was new. It's a run from Tuscaloosa, but it's the kind of work we take seriously and travel for: ranch-scale clearing, mature-tree care, and storm damage across the open ground where Alabama weather runs unblocked.
Fayette County's hills grow a different mix than the river bottoms south of Tuscaloosa. Lobollies and shortleaf pines cover the ridge ground β fast, tall, and the first to fail in a wind event, which this corner of the state sees plenty of when spring systems sweep across the Black Warrior valley and keep rolling northeast. The pastures and creek bottoms carry the hardwoods: white and post oaks, hickories, and the occasional bottomland oak big enough to shade a hay barn. Around the houses, it's the usual small-town Alabama canopy β homeplace pecans, water oaks along the fencerows, and crape myrtles that need a yearly shaping. We work all of it, and we work it with the understanding that out here, a tree down on a fence or a barn is a working problem, not a landscaping one.
Berry is outside our daily loops, so we batch northern jobs β Samantha, Berry, and the Fayette County side β into scheduled route days. That keeps your price honest and our equipment day efficient. Estimates are free and written; larger clearing and multi-tree jobs absorb the travel easily. If a storm has already made the decision for you, call the storm line and we'll triage it like anything in Tuscaloosa proper.
What we run most up here: land clearing, tree removal, storm response, brush chipping, and trimming & pruning. Everything else is on the services page, and the full map is on service areas.
