- Photos by text — for debris haul-away and many stump jobs, a wide shot with a shovel handle for scale lets us quote firm without a trip.
- What's under the tree — house, fence, garden, septic, power line. It changes the rigging plan.
- Gate width — if the backyard is fenced, measure the gate. Machines need to fit through it.
- Timing — flexible, firm-deadline, or "it's on my house right now." We triage accordingly.
