Fosters sits down in the southern corner of Tuscaloosa County, near the forks of the Black Warrior River where the Sipsey and Mulberry come together β quiet river-bottom country where the lots run long, the pecans grow old, and the nearest "town" is a decision rather than a place. It's a drive from our Tuscaloosa shop, but it's the kind of property we know well: big river-bottom oaks, mixed pine ridges, and acreage that needs real equipment, not a pickup truck and a promise.
Country this flat and this close to the Warrior grows a distinctive canopy. Massive bottomland oaks and old pecans shade the homeplaces, their root systems shaped by decades of wet winters and dry summers. Bald cypress and water-tolerant species hold the low spots where other trees drown. On the ridges above the bottoms, loblolly pines grow fast and fail hard β shallow-rooted on the clay, the first to snap when a supercell tracks up the river valley, exactly as they did across the county on April 27, 2011. Work down here means reading the difference: which trees are river-bottom strong, which pines are storm shrapnel waiting, and how ground saturation changes what a leaning tree will do.
Fosters and the south end of the county run on a slightly different rhythm than our in-town routes β we batch out-county jobs to keep travel costs (and your price) reasonable, so booking a visit a bit ahead helps. The estimate is still free, the written quote still means what it says, and bigger jobs like clearing and storm cleanup take us down this way routinely. If you're between Fosters and Moundville or over toward the Greene County line, call β you're probably closer to our route than you think.
Everything we do in town, we do out here: tree removal, trimming and pruning, land clearing, health assessments, and 24/7 storm response. See the full list on our services page and everywhere we travel on service areas.
